2018 Juniper Well Residential Retreat Donations

A Week-long Residential Retreat
Led by Brian Lesage

May 5-11, 2018 – Skull Valley, Arizona

Prescott Insight Meditation is pleased to announce we are now in the initial planning stages of a dana-supported residential retreat, from Saturday, May 5 through Friday, May 11, 2018. Our vision is to provide an opportunity to deepen our practice in a week-long retreat that is affordable for all practitioners. The long-held Buddhist tradition of dana (Pali for 'generosity') allows us a way to return the teacher's generosity of freely giving the dharma with a reciprocal gift from our hearts.

The location will be Juniper Well Ranch in Skull Valley, Arizona, approximately 30 miles northwest of Prescott. This will be a residential retreat with various options for sleeping arrangements, including a limited number of indoor private areas, bunk beds, a yurt, indoor camping (with or without bedding provided), and outdoor camping. Generally, indoor sleeping arrangements will be offered based on a communal system. Carpooling will be encouraged to reduce the parking burden and to help sustain the remote beauty of this Piñon-juniper Chaparral landscape.

Formal fundraising efforts are being planned in order to fully fund our use of Juniper Well. This enables the unique experience of each attendee to be fully supported by dana for the duration of the retreat. Until our fundraising effort is formally begun, please consider contributing your time and intention. Our committee is currently in the process of planning and actively seeking assistance in the yogi tradition of intentional service, as the time for the retreat grows near. Together, in this way, we continue to offer the dharma to all those wishing to activate natural compassion for ourselves and the world.
